Henry knocked.

It had been a bit under a month since his return, and it had taken him over two weeks to actually find a lead on the case that he had been working. Well case might be a bit of a overstatement – he had been looking for his former protégé, a lioness named Althea. She had gone missing, presumably missing, around the same time that he had taken his leave from Seattle as well. So far Henry had found rather little and this was the last place left for him to look.

Many Moons – a place that he did not look to revisit anytime soon.

To be fair he had thought that he could do better, be quicker. But he had promised to Raleigh that he would not let his search interfere with Pride business, between that and his job, Henry had not been really that fast. So now he was barking up the door of a former acquaintance – technical acquaintance, for he was not quite sure that he had ever met Jade. Or even Althea had for that matter, but as much as he had been able to figure out Jade was the person that he some information on the lioness.

Thus it had taken him another three days to have a meeting arranged with the woman called Jade. A woman that Henry rather little off, and that had proven rather elusive to contact. So with great effort he had arranged the meeting this night. He checked his watch; it was a bit before ten p.m. which meant that he arrived a few minutes earlier than expected. Still he was rather concerned about the lioness.

So he knocked again.

Jade was barefoot when she pulled the door open, in a casual black dress with lace accents, a simple glamour over her hair to give it a soft red tint, worried Henry may not recognize her with her new, toned down style and the muddy locks she'd been adorning as of late.

Paul was on the balcony, eating quietly and keeping half of his attention on Jade, as he was the sole security member she'd requested for this meeting. Not that Moons wasn't full of others watching over the Temoin's Human Servant, but, this was as close to privacy as the two of them were going to get.

"Henry." She greeted him as she pulled the door open, stepping out of the way to allow him to enter into the living area. "You're looking for Althea, yes?"

The door was opened after a few seconds, Henry found himself rather surprised to face…a woman in negligee. A black laced dress that he rather approved off. Not that Henry was about to shoot his mouth off, he was more than happy to just enjoy the view. Or at least he would be, however for the moment he had more pressing matters to attend to – Althea’s place of residence and status being one of them. The choice of clothing did contrast with Henry’s choice of a dark suit, the only thing that was missing was a tie – he had always hated those things, they had always felt like nooses around his neck.

“Jade” he said as she greeted him, he nodded gratefully as she moved out of the way clearly inviting him in. With his usually confident stride he entered her place. “Thank you for agreeing to meet with me” he said a moment before he noticed that he and Jade and were not quite alone in this meeting as he had expected. Standing across from them, on a balcony, was a man - Henry could make out only his side as the man was slightly turned. He did quirk an eyebrow at the figure that seemed to be eating.

“Friend of yours?” he asked. The question was more directed to ask if it was okay to talk in the presence of the male. At this distance, and due to the balcony, Henry could not make out if the male was a shifter or a vampire. And both species had rather acute sense of hearing, not to mention extremely long memories and of course their rather famous mean streaks that tended to go hand in hand.

“Been a while” he said with a polite nod “But you are right, I am looking primarily for Althea” he confessed.

She cocked her head sideways, "Paul? Yes. He's family now." She guided him to the couch, pushing at him until he sat, "he's also my security for the afternoon. Formality. He won't bother us."

She curled her legs up, nuzzling against his much warmer body, absorbing as much of his heat and comfort as she could without flat out groping him. "Althea was banished. She went to GiGi, after defying Raleigh, and he took her in. I'm not sure what it is, exactly, that she did after that. You know Al, she's not one for following orders."

Jade hadn't thought about her former best friend in quite some time. Now that the memories were flooding back, she found herself growing a bit sad. Her life at LD, her life with Althea, it all seemed like an entirely different century.

“Family, huh?” he said as he case the man another glance, right before he was pushed onto the couch and had Jade seat herself next to him. Just like that the woman, curled herself up next to him, almost as if she was trying to absorb his warmth. Usually it was a more shifter thing to do, but Jade had never been a shifter; she had been something…else. Her sugary scent betrayed as much, he had noticed that last year, when she had come to visit Althea at the Pride house. But he was not here to inquire about Jade’s more…unique physiology; he was here to ask questions. “I’ll take your word for it” he added a moment later.

He did smirk at the memory of Althea and Raleigh. To say that the two had issues… would be an understatement of the decade.

“She and Raleigh…always had a rather difficult relationship” he explained without going further into details, especially about what led to the grand argument, that ended with her Exiled, between the two. “I know that she went to GiGi but I have no clue what happened to her afterwards, I was hoping that she had kept in touch with you?” he said a bit crestfallen that Jade had no more information about his former protégé then Henry did.

He did snort with amusement as Jade stated that Althea was horrible with orders. Again a massive understatement.

“Did she leave any forwarding address or let you know what her plans were?” he asked, as he placed his hand on the girls knee, he was not flirting, merely acting on the fact that she was snuggled up so close to him.
