This document is somewhere between a FAQ and a series of reminders. Questions or issues that have come up over the course of the game which are either documented or implied but seem like they could use a little clarification. None of this is new information, just restatements and further explanations of stuff that's come up lately.
  • Game time runs 1:1. If it's December 1, 2011 in the real world, it's December 1, 2011 in the game. Obviously this gets bent a little as sometimes threads which are meant to span a single afternoon take a couple of days to play out, but as a rule, whatever the date in the real world, that's the game date too.
  • Characters can be in multiple threads at once. It is the responsibility of the player to keep track of their personal timeline to make sure that they're never in two places at once or ripping holes in the time/space continuum.
  • Thread titles should be tagged to avoid confusion. When starting a new thread, please tag it either:
    • [Open] - If anyone who likes is welcome to join.
    • [Name/Name] or [Tag: Name] - If it is intended for specific characters.
    • [Invite] - If there may be multiple characters invited in over the course of the thread.
    • [Closed] - If it is a sidestory/closed post that's meant to provide exposition about the character but no other characters will be involved.
  • Existing characters should be integrated before new characters are accepted - We will be lenient about this as the board opens, to let us build up a good population of characters to interact, but as a rule current characters need to be active and well-integrated before new characters are added. Integrated doesn't mean 'played one thread', it means being an active part of the game and having multiple connections with other characters.
  • HTML Templates are allowed and encouraged, but please please pretty please don't post in tiny font. - Briar is old and blind and so are some other players, that's why the default font size on the skin is so large. Using bright colors or tight fonts hurts Briar and makes her cry. Nobody wants a crying admin, do they?
  • IC posts (excluding apps) should be in past tense, third person, omniscient or subjective - If you don't know what that means, a quick Wikipedia search should clear it up.
